GPR was lights out for 5 days as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully, we faired well considering what many have endured.
However, there is another kind of “lights out”, one in which GPR operates everyday of the week. The state-of-the-art equipment that is our cornerstone allows us to better support customers by providing round the clock production without the necessity of continual human interaction. The benefit to our customers is threefold;
- Continuous production
- Competitive pricing afforded by a reduction in labor costs
- Predictable and repeatable quality
This housing pictured above had features with extremely close tolerances. It was repeatably manufactured in a high volume production environment in machining centers which ran 24 hours per day six days per week.
If you have found missed deliveries to be a problem for your organization, consider using a source that has the ability to produce parts “lights out”.
