Role and Responsibilities
An Assembler is responsible for the assembly of final product and sub-assemblies, as well as function checks of the same.
Key duties/responsibilities of an Assembler are, including, but not limited to:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by following assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Communicate status of in-process jobs to Supervisor and co-workers.
- Keep accurate time records via ERP system.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP)
- Be respectful and a team player with co-workers.
- Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
- Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.
- May also be directed to assist in various shop operations by production management.

Challenging and exciting opportunity with Major Semiconductor Equipment and Contract Manufacturer based in NJ as a CNC Setup / Operator. We’re seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual. Prime responsibilities include setup and operation of Haas and Mazak Vertical machining centers. Prior experience with these machines is mandatory. Ability to read blueprints and capable of doing first article inspection. You will be required to do multiple setups each day, including adjusting tool lengths and offsets as necessary. When operating you will be required to assemble and preset tooling for subsequent operations during automated cycles to reduce machine downtime. Experience machining stainless steel and aluminum is required. Practical knowledge of math, geometry and trigonometry required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Equivalent to complete, accredited, indentured apprenticeship or equivalent to high school plus a 2-year technical school.
- Required to have necessary set of personal tools to perform all tasks of job function.
- Use of adjustable measuring instruments and advanced quality control equipment.
- Blueprint reading of complicated drawings, specifications and charts/tables.
- More than three years’ experience as a setup operator in a manufacturing environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Prime responsibilities include setup and operation of Vertical and Horizontal machining centers. Prior experience with these machines is mandatory.
Key duties/responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:
- Understanding and knowledge of G-Code with the ability to edit and/or make suggestions to improve on existing programs, fixturing and how to reduce set-up times within the company.
- Must confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information that will continually improve the company and operations.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.
- Understanding on how to use hand measuring tools like pin gages, micrometers, calipers etc. to check parts produced. Must Inspect “First Piece” of job Set-Up, this consisting of all features that can be checked at the machine will be verified and measured to be in tolerance prior to going into inspection. Responsible to make adjustments as necessary and submit to inspection for First Article approval.
- Must enter accurate time for all jobs run via ERP system, working with production planning to ensure it is done properly.
- Required to have full set of personal tools to perform all tasks of job function.

This includes the review with management to determine commitments, job creation based on that review, the review and release of manufactured component jobs to support top level demands, and to initiate the execution of those jobs based on scheduled start dates.
Key duties/responsibilities of the Production Planning Coordinator, including, but not limited to:
- Reviews all new customer orders with Management to determine commit dates and quantities.
- Enters all Top Level and Component inventory jobs for all Production requirements.
- Prints and prepares all Job documentation (Traveler/Drawings) for release to the floor.
- Production Liaison to the Engineering team as it applies to the review of all Job drawings/documents to ensure proper revision levels, work center locations, and material call outs are correct.
- Coordinates the release of material to the floor through the review of the Job start dates.
- Manages the update and redistribution of Job Documentation when revision changes are initiated.
Other duties may be assigned relative to experience and company needs or as required.
